What is MindWard?
MindWard is an all in one personal workspace for iPhone (iOS 26 or later) with five tools in a single app: rich text notes with folders, tags, search, version history and undo; tasks with due dates, repeating tasks and reminders; mind maps on an infinite canvas; voice memos with on-device transcription you can search; and a private vault for passwords, cards and secure notes. Everything syncs privately through iCloud on your own account.
How do mind maps work?
Each mind map is an infinite canvas. Drag nodes anywhere to arrange your thinking, and reorganize by dragging one node onto another: the dragged node (and its branch) moves under the node you drop it on.
Sync & Restore
How does sync work? Do I need an account?
No account needed. MindWard syncs through iCloud on your own Apple account, using your private database. Just make sure you're signed into iCloud on your iPhone (iOS Settings > your name). Nothing passes through servers we operate.
I reinstalled the app. Where is my data?
Deleting the app and reinstalling it restores everything from your iCloud. Make sure you're signed into the same iCloud account, then give it a moment: the first sync after a reinstall can take a few minutes, especially with many notes or voice memos. Your data fills in as the sync completes.
The Vault
How is the vault protected?
The vault requires a device passcode or Face ID to unlock. Vault items are end to end encrypted on your device, with keys that never leave your Apple account, so MARS Studio and Apple cannot read vault contents.
What happens to my vault if I lose access to my Apple account?
Because vault keys never leave your Apple account, if you lose access to your Apple account, vault contents cannot be recovered, not by MARS Studio, and not by Apple. That's the flip side of encryption nobody else can read. Keep your Apple account recovery options up to date.
Voice Memos & Transcription
My memo's transcription failed. What do I do?
Transcription runs on your device via Apple's speech recognition, and it can occasionally fail. Your recording is safe: just retry from the memo row to run transcription again. Once it succeeds, the transcript becomes searchable like any note.
Free Plan & Pro
What does the free plan include?
The free plan includes 100 notes, 10 voice memos, 2 mind maps, 15 vault items, and unlimited tasks. Tasks are free forever. MindWard Pro removes those limits for $2.99/month or $19.99/year (auto-renewing, via the App Store; prices shown in the App Store are authoritative and may vary by region). And even over the limits, reading, editing and export always work: hitting a limit never locks you out of your own data.
How do I restore purchases or cancel my subscription?
Restore: on a new device signed in with the same Apple Account, use Restore Purchases in the app's Settings. Cancel: go to Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions > MindWard on your device. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you keep Pro until then. Refunds are handled by Apple via reportaproblem.apple.com.
How does the referral program work?
Share your referral code with a friend. When they redeem it in MindWard, you both get 30 days of Pro. You can earn up to 6 months of Pro per year this way. The feature stores only a random code and an anonymous iCloud identifier, never names or emails.
Backups & Trash
Where are my backups?
MindWard writes an automatic weekly backup file you can find in the Files app, and you can create one any time with Back Up Now in the app. Deleted items also sit in trash for 30 days before they're removed, so an accidental delete is easy to undo.
