Privacy Policy

      The short version: MindWard collects nothing. No analytics, no ads, no tracking, no accounts. Your notes, tasks, mind maps, voice memos and vault items live on your device and in your own iCloud (your private database), and sync only through your own Apple account. Vault items are end to end encrypted, MARS Studio and Apple cannot read them. Voice transcription runs on your device.
    

1. Information We Collect: None

MindWard does not collect, store, or share any personal information. Specifically:

No account registration is required, and there are no accounts on our side.
No name, email, or contact information is collected.
No analytics, telemetry, or tracking SDKs are included in the app.
No advertising, and no advertising identifiers.

2. Your Data Lives in Your iCloud

Everything you create in MindWard, notes, tasks, mind maps, voice memos and vault items, is stored on your device and in your iCloud, in the CloudKit private database attached to your own Apple account. This means:

Sync happens directly between your devices and your iCloud, never through servers we operate.
Deleting the app and reinstalling it restores your data from your iCloud.
Apple's own privacy and security practices govern iCloud storage: apple.com/legal/privacy.

3. The Vault: End to End Encrypted

Vault items (passwords, cards and secure notes) get an extra layer of protection beyond the rest of your data. They are end to end encrypted on your device using envelope encryption: each item is encrypted with its own per item key, and those keys are wrapped by a key stored in your iCloud Keychain. Because the wrapping key never leaves your Apple account:

MARS Studio cannot read your vault contents.
Apple cannot read your vault contents.
If you lose access to your Apple account, vault contents cannot be recovered by anyone, including us.

The vault unlocks with Face ID or your device passcode; authentication is handled by the system and never seen by the app's developer.

4. Voice Memos & Transcription

Voice memo transcription runs on your device using Apple's speech recognition. Your recordings are transcribed locally so you can search them; the app does not send audio or transcripts to MARS Studio.

5. The Referral Feature

MindWard's referral feature lets you share a code with a friend; when they redeem it, you both get 30 days of Pro. To make this work, the app stores only two things in a shared database:

A random referral code.
An anonymous iCloud user identifier.

Never names, never emails, never anything that identifies you to us or to the person who redeems your code.

6. Backups

MindWard writes an automatic weekly backup file to the Files app on your device, and you can create one any time with Back Up Now. Backup files stay wherever you keep them; the app does not send them anywhere.

7. Subscriptions (StoreKit)

MindWard Pro is purchased through Apple's App Store. Payment is handled entirely by Apple; we receive no payment details, no card numbers, and no billing address, only a confirmation that a transaction is valid. Apple's privacy policy governs subscription transactions: apple.com/legal/privacy.

8. Children's Privacy

MindWard is not directed at children under 13, and the app does not knowingly collect information from children under 13 (it collects no personal information from anyone).

9. Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the effective date above and (where the change is material) surface a notice in the app on next launch. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
