1. Information We Collect
Dhyana Mala does not collect any personally identifiable information. Specifically:
- No account registration is required
- No name, email, or contact information is collected
- No location data is accessed
- No analytics or tracking SDKs are included in the app
- No cookies or device identifiers are used
2. Data Stored on Your Device
All data you create in Dhyana Mala is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. This includes:
- Chanting session history (mantra, duration, bead count, date)
- Favorite mantras and custom mantras you add
- Meditation timer preferences and settings
- Streak and progress data
This data:
- Never leaves your device to our servers
- Is included in your iCloud backup if you have iCloud backup enabled (controlled entirely by you in iOS Settings)
- Is deleted when you delete the app
3. Third-Party Services
Dhyana Mala does not connect to any third-party services, APIs, or servers. The app is fully self-contained:
- All 132 mantras are bundled within the app
- Text-to-speech pronunciation uses Apple's on-device TTS engine — no audio data is sent to any server
- No network requests are made by the app at any time
4. Advertising
Dhyana Mala contains no advertisements and does not use any advertising identifiers (IDFA). The app is completely free with no monetization mechanisms.
5. Children's Privacy
Dhyana Mala does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. The app contains no data collection features of any kind, making it safe for users of all ages.
6. Changes to This Policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
