Privacy Policy

Last reviewed: May 2026  ·  Applies to: DhyanaMala (iOS)  ·  No material changes from March 2026

The short version: DhyanaMala does not collect, store, or share any personal information. All your data stays on your device.

1. Information We Collect

DhyanaMala does not collect any personally identifiable information. Specifically:

2. Data Stored on Your Device

All data you create in DhyanaMala is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. This includes:

This data:

3. Third-Party Services

DhyanaMala does not connect to any third-party services, APIs, or servers. The app is fully self-contained:

4. Advertising

DhyanaMala contains no advertisements and does not use any advertising identifiers (IDFA). The app is completely free with no monetization mechanisms.

5. Children's Privacy

DhyanaMala does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. The app contains no data collection features of any kind, making it safe for users of all ages.

6. European Users (GDPR) & California Users (CCPA/CPRA)

Lawful basis (GDPR Art. 6). DhyanaMala does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on MARS Studio servers — your meditation sessions, mantra history, and timer settings stay entirely on your device. There is therefore no lawful basis required for cross-border data transfer.

Your rights. European users have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, port, and object to processing of any personal data we hold (GDPR Art. 15–22). California users have equivalent rights to know, delete, correct, and limit use under CCPA/CPRA. To exercise any of these rights, contact dm-privacy@marsstudio.app — we respond within 30 days. Because no personal data leaves your device, "right to deletion" is satisfied by uninstalling the app.

We do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising or any other purpose. There is no "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link because we have no sale or sharing flow to opt out of.

Supervisory authority. European users have the right to lodge a complaint with their local data-protection authority — though as noted, DhyanaMala does not collect or transmit any personal data. Indian users have equivalent rights under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023.

7. Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
